Premium links golf and exceptional hospitality. Edinburgh, East Lothian and St Andrews.
Rocky Ness, the 15th at Kingsbarns, Fife
This is the journey we would suggest to a group visiting Scotland for the first time. It is compact, so you spend your days on the links and at the table rather than in the car, and it takes in the two great golf coasts within reach of Edinburgh.
You begin in the capital, settle into East Lothian's extraordinary run of links, then travel north to St Andrews for the town, the Old Course ballot and the courses around it.

Courses we would suggest for this journey. Final choices depend on your preferences, each club’s visitor policies and availability when we request tee times.
North Berwick, Edinburgh & East Lothian
Stone walls, the sea at your shoulder and the original Redan: perhaps the most joyful round in Scotland.
Gullane, Edinburgh & East Lothian
Climbs Gullane Hill for one of the great panoramas in golf, across the Forth to Edinburgh.
Gullane, Edinburgh & East Lothian
Home of The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers. Visitor days are limited and set by the club.
Kingsbarns, St Andrews & Fife
Opened in 2000 on farmland shaped into convincing linksland, with the sea in view from every hole.
St Andrews, St Andrews & Fife
The links that shaped the game: double greens, hidden bunkers and the walk home over the Swilcan Bridge.
Carnoustie, Angus, St Andrews & Fife
Across the Tay from St Andrews and widely regarded as the sternest Open venue, finished by the Barry Burn.
A historic city hotel within walking distance of the Old Town, chosen for its rooms, service and bar.
A five-star hotel or a private house close to the links, so the town is on your doorstep.
For quieter evenings, a characterful country house hotel on the East Lothian coast.
A sample schedule to show the rhythm of the trip. Your own itinerary will be shaped around your group, and no tee times or accommodation are guaranteed until confirmed.
Edinburgh
Met on arrival and driven to your hotel. A gentle afternoon to settle in, then a quiet welcome dinner in the New Town.
East Lothian
A short drive to the coast for North Berwick's West Links — walls, burns, the Redan and views to the Bass Rock. Lunch in the clubhouse or the town.
East Lothian to St Andrews
Morning round at Gullane, or at Muirfield on a day when visitors are welcomed. Afternoon transfer to St Andrews, with the evening free in town.
Fife
Kingsbarns, where every hole looks out to sea. Partners might spend the day exploring Crail and Anstruther.
St Andrews
Your day for the Old Course, subject to the St Andrews Links Trust's allocation or the ballot. As an alternative, we suggest Carnoustie's Championship course across the Tay.
St Andrews to Edinburgh
A leisurely breakfast and a private transfer to Edinburgh Airport. With an extra night, add a round on the New or Castle Course.
A private chauffeur and a spacious executive vehicle are with you throughout, sized for your party and your golf bags. Your driver knows the roads, the clubhouses and the timings, so you never have to think about logistics.
