Beyond the fairways

Extraordinary Golf. Unforgettable Scotland.

Eilean Donan, Loch Duich

The golf brings you to Scotland. What stays with you is often everything around it: the whisky, the landscapes, the houses, the people and the long northern evenings.

Whisky and distilleries

Copper stills at Dallas Dhu, Speyside

Scotland's whisky is as varied as its golf. We arrange distillery visits that suit your party, from the great Speyside names to small, independent stills, and tastings led by people who know the subject deeply.

Where formats allow, that can mean a warehouse tasting among the casks, a private room at a distillery, or an evening tasting at your hotel after golf.

  • Speyside, Highland and island distilleries
  • Private and small-group formats where available
  • Evening tastings at your hotel or house

Fine dining

Scotland's larder is exceptional: shellfish from the west coast, game from the hills, beef and lamb from the Borders and the North East. We reserve tables at the restaurants we would choose ourselves, from celebrated dining rooms in Edinburgh to small seafood places by the harbour.

For groups staying in a private house, a chef can cook for you in the evenings, often using produce from the estate.

  • Edinburgh's leading restaurants
  • Private dining rooms and chef's tables
  • In-house chefs at exclusive-use properties

Exceptional accommodation

Where you stay shapes how a journey feels. We choose between Scotland's grand five-star hotels, intimate country houses and, for some groups, an exclusive-use castle or estate.

We think about the rooms themselves, not just the hotel: views, bed configurations and proximity for a group that wants to spend evenings together.

  • Five-star hotels in Edinburgh, St Andrews and Perthshire
  • Country houses and historic hotels
  • Exclusive-use castles, lodges and estates

Highland sightseeing

The Highlands reward time. A day's touring through Glen Coe, along Loch Ness or into the Cairngorms can be as memorable as any round, particularly with a driver who knows where to stop.

For those who want to step out of the car, we can arrange guided walks, wildlife watching, fly-fishing or a day on a sporting estate.

  • Scenic touring with a private driver
  • Guided walks and wildlife
  • Fishing, falconry and clay shooting

Historic castles and estates

Scotland's castles range from romantic ruins to great houses still lived in by the families who built them. We include the ones that fit naturally into your route, and where possible arrange guided or out-of-hours visits.

  • Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town
  • Highland and Deeside castles
  • Guided and out-of-hours visits where available

Many of our guests travel with partners who do not play. We design a parallel programme around their interests: gardens, galleries, spas, shopping in Edinburgh, castles, coastal walks, cookery or textiles. Everyone comes together in the evenings.

  • Spa days at Scotland's finest hotels
  • Private guides for history, art and gardens
  • Shopping, cashmere and craft

Personal concierge assistance

Before you travel, you receive a detailed dossier with every booking, contact and timing. While you are in Scotland, our team in Edinburgh is a phone call or message away to adjust plans, add a table or rearrange a day.

  • A detailed travel dossier
  • Phone and WhatsApp assistance while you travel
  • Changes handled quietly on your behalf

Experiences are arranged individually for each journey and are subject to availability, season and the policies of the people and places who host them. See how they fit into our sample journeys.
