A charming East Neuk links, famous for the ship's periscope used by the starter on the blind first tee.
The links at Elie and Earlsferry, Fife
Elie is the kind of course experienced visitors talk about long after the trip. It sits by the sea at one of the prettiest villages in Fife's East Neuk, and it plays fast, firm and full of character.
The opening tee shot is blind over a hill, so the starter checks the fairway is clear through a periscope salvaged from a submarine. It's a fitting start to a round that is all charm and ingenuity.
