Golf in Scotland in February

Still winter, with lengthening afternoons and snow on the hills inland.

The King’s Course, Gleneagles, Perthshire

Daylight is returning noticeably by late February, but conditions remain wintry. Coastal links are usually the most playable; inland courses can be wet or frozen, and the hills of Perthshire often carry snow.

It is a good month for planning rather than playing. The most sought-after courses and hotels fill early for the summer, so the earlier you begin, the wider the choice.
