A James Braid links where sheep and cattle graze freely and the greens are protected by electric fences.
The links at Brora, Sutherland
Brora is links golf as it once was everywhere. Sheep and cattle graze across the course, and the greens are protected by low electric fences. James Braid shaped the layout in the 1920s, and it has changed remarkably little since.
It is beautiful, unpretentious and great fun, with the beach alongside and the hills of Sutherland behind.

Generally easy to book, and a lovely second round on a Dornoch day.
